Zombie Day

hey all,
today is the day we are moving like zombies. last night was pretty rough - we let the cats into our room. dude (our 3 month old orange stripe) purred all night, and when he wasn't purring my sweetest man said i was snoring - sorry hunny- sooo neither of us got sleep. (i feel like i didn't, there seemed to be an awful lot of moving around by bernice, dude, and my darling one - sheesh have that many bodies in the same bed and YOU try to sleep....)
sweetie had a church gig to do this morning. i slept about an hour longer than he, then started laundry - after i burned some cardboard to take the chill off the room... i did laundry most - well all - of the day (still doing it actually...). also picked up in a few rooms. it would seem that if you don't pick up a little everyday, and yet you get messy everyday, it becomes slightly insurmountable. (and that folks is a big word for a big problem.) so i have some catching up to do. i must blame the various messes on the various projects i am attempting. if i would just finish one thing at a time (the "close your circles" theory - thank you kathy), i am sure it would seem more organized here. of course i am ignoring the reality that there is no way to get one project done with out running into some sort of difficulty or thing that needs to be figured out. there always has to be a setback of some sort, somewhere. and i refuse to not start something else while in the middle of three other things....
so apart from laundry and cleaning, not much else happened today.
tonight however i went with my darlingest to university church at oru. i got to sit in a room under the ground and watch my darlingest man run audio for the folks upstairs. (well they were down the hall, but it felt like we were underground somewhere...) it was neat to see what he does. even tho there were several stress filled (okay the ENTIRE night was full of stress - things kept HAPPENING....) moments, it was nice to be with him.
he is now working 4 days of 10 hours per day and then like every other sunday night, add in any freelance jobs he picks up during the week. it is a nice schedule, except that the day starts around 10.30 am and ends 10.30 - 11pm ( i know, i know, i know - that makes more than 10 hours per day...). actually it kinda ruins the entire day. can't get anything done in the a.m. and nothing in the p.m. weekends are actually used to catch all the sleep that was forfeit during the week. has only been one week and i am sure we will get used to it.
not much to really say when one has not done squat really. hope tomorrow is more fruitful.
have a great one...
